another reason to not implement a state exchange

Many other states will be directly paying for abortions by an abortion surcharge with a state health insurance exchange. Many will be forced to pay $1 a month, $12 a year to pay for abortions, probably to Planned Parenthood, if enrolled in an insurance plan under Obamacare that covers abortions through an employer. Either pay the insurance (or pay the penalty year after year). By choice or unknowingly, there is an added abortion surcharge of one dollar per month. A state can opt out if it has a law already in place preventing insurances from covering abortion. Obamacare even contains a clause that prevents insurance plans from letting people know about the required abortion surcharge. Even though it appears that our state doesn't have to pay the surcharge, we can help our 26 neighbor states by not setting up an exchange. If enough states refuse to set up exchanges, then there can be no implementation of Obamacare. The HHS mandate would give minors free contraception and sterilization. The mandate requires coverage for beneficiaries, including minors, on the affected health plans. That means a minor on her parents’ plan could be sterilized free if she finds a willing doctor to perform the procedure.
